I tried the power off thing. First time it didn’t work, second time it did (yay!). The enemies make the game more challenging, but maybe some type of aimable defense would be nice. I just tend to run into bombs I’ve placed and kill myself halfway and then a red guy finishes me off :D

    This game definitely has potential!

Oh, and did I see a Portal/GLaDOS reference in the title of the last topic? :) Because even unfinished, your project is a HUGE SUCCESS.

    @Kelly Monroe

Same here! This is why I check TouchArcade every day-to find obscure but fun apps that I would have never found out about otherwise.

It’s cool that so many people are downloading Rocket Bits! There actually was a post even earlier than the second, and that’s how I found Rocker Bit’s also…

    Brian, are you paying them?

    jkjkjk

Something else that’s really cool is that you mentioned the anteater that shoots cheese! I remember that suggestion earlier!

@Kaleb I pay them with Starburst jellybeans! It works wonders :)

Anteaters and cats!!!! Then it’s straight to the top of the AppStore charts for sure! haha

What is happening to Rocket Bits??

  15. Wednesday, June 20th, 2012RegularKid says:

@Kaleb Rocket Bits is currently on hiatus as the new job and baby are leaving me with very little free time for working on the game. Sorry :(

  16. Monday, June 25th, 2012Kaleb says:

    thats fine!

  17. Sunday, February 17th, 2013Kal Skirata says:

    Are you still there RegularKid?

    How’s the job and baby?

I got an idea: download the free version of Astronots (<<<that's the correct spelling) and see what you think. If the current Rocket Bits is like an overworld, with various areas and planets and stuff explored on foot similar to that, you would have quite a potent force on your hands. Never underestimate the power of Metroidvania. ;)

    Good luck!
